Search engine optimisation that is judged on enquiries

Most SEO reports lead with rankings because rankings are easy to move. We lead with enquiries, because that is the only number that pays for the work.

From search to enquiry

Make the path from a relevant search to a useful answer clear.

  1. Search intent
  2. Useful answer
  3. Clear next step

Visibility is the beginning. The enquiry is what we measure.

What does SEO actually involve?

SEO is three jobs done together: making a site technically easy for search engines to read, publishing content that answers what buyers search for, and earning enough credibility from other sites to be trusted. Skip any one of the three and the other two underperform.

The technical side is the least glamorous and usually the most valuable early on. If pages load slowly, return errors, or duplicate each other, Google spends its budget crawling problems instead of your content. Fixing that often produces movement within weeks, before a single new page is written.

Content is where most of the ongoing work sits. Not volume for its own sake, but pages that match what a person is actually trying to do when they type a phrase. Someone searching "what is technical SEO" wants an explanation. Someone searching "technical SEO agency" wants to hire. Those need different pages, and treating them the same is why a lot of content never ranks.

Links remain the hardest part to fake and the hardest to buy safely. We earn them by making things worth citing and by approaching people with a genuine reason to link, not by paying for placements that leave a footprint.

How long before SEO produces results?

Expect measurable movement in six to twelve weeks and commercial results in four to six months. Technical fixes land fastest. Competitive commercial terms take longest, because you are displacing sites that have held those positions for years and have the links to prove it.

The honest variable is where you are starting from. A site with solid foundations and thin content moves faster than one with a good blog and a broken technical base. We tell you which situation you are in after the audit, before you commit to anything.

What we actually do each month

Work splits across four areas: technical health, content, internal linking and authority. The mix changes as the site improves. Early months lean technical, later months lean content and links.

Technical health
Crawl and index coverage, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, canonical handling, sitemap accuracy. The plumbing that decides whether the rest of the work counts.
Content
Pages built around real search intent, with the answer up front. This is also what makes a page quotable by AI Overviews rather than skipped.
Internal linking
The most underused lever in SEO. Pointing your own authority at the pages that need it costs nothing and often moves rankings faster than new links.
Authority
Digital PR, industry citations and genuine outreach. Slow, unglamorous, and the thing that separates page two from page one on competitive terms.

Does SEO still matter now that AI answers questions directly?

It matters differently. AI Overviews have cut the click-through rate on the top organic result from roughly 40% to 27.6%, so ranking first wins fewer visits than it used to. But AI answers are built from indexed pages, so the sites being cited are the ones doing SEO well.

What has changed is that being the source now matters as much as being the link. Pages that state things plainly, carry real data, and answer a question in the first few lines get quoted. Pages that bury the answer under six paragraphs of preamble get skipped by both readers and models.

That is why we structure content the way we do, and why the same work now serves search rankings and AI citation at the same time rather than being two separate exercises.

How you will know it is working

You get one report a month covering what changed, what it cost, and how many enquiries came from organic search. Rankings and traffic are in there because they explain the movement, but they are not the headline number.

We also tell you when a month goes badly and why. Search results move for reasons outside anyone control, including algorithm updates and competitors making their own improvements. An agency that only ever reports good news is editing.

Common questions.

A few things worth knowing before we start.

Ask us a question

No, and neither can anyone else honestly. Nobody controls Google results, so a guarantee is either meaningless or is being met with terms so uncompetitive that ranking for them produces no business. We commit to the work and to reporting results plainly.
